Students of the university can become student ambassadors as they introduce the university’s programmes to their friends and family, and expand the WOU learning community.

All student ambassadors stand to receive rebates on their tuition fees for every friend or family that they introduce to WOU. The more friends or family that they encourage to register for courses at the university, the more rebates they will earn.

Who is eligible for this programme?

1. Applicable to all registered students of WOU.
2. Returning students are not taken into account in the F & F programme.

What are the incentives/rewards to be given under this programme?

1. Individual rewards – in the form of RM150 per friend/family (new enrolment) which can be used as rebates for tuition fees.

What are the terms and conditions for this F & F programme?    

1. The student ambassador must be a registered student of Wawasan Open University (WOU), but she/he need not be enrolled currently.
2. This programme is for enrolment in July 2010 Intake (Semester 2/2010).
3. The FnF applies to new students referred and registered from 1 April 2010 onwards for July 2010 Intake.
4. For those FnF who applied and qualified for WOU study grant, the respective Ambassadors will be entitled to only 50% of the F & F rewards.
5. WOU employees and/or their immediate family members are not eligible for this programme.
6. To be eligible for this programme, the recommended friends and/or family (FF) member must have paid the course fees in full, and remain active as a WOU student as at 6th August, 2010.
7. Any friends and/or family names that are found to be duplicated on more than one FF form will be declared null and void.
8. All rewards can only be used as rebates for tuition fees only, and are not redeemable for cash or transferable.
9. Friends and family who have received the EPF or PTPTN loans or any other forms of financial support will still need to adhere to the Terms and Conditions as listed in the programme.
10. WOU reserves the right to change the rewards to other items similar in value for whatever reasons.
11. In order to qualify for the rewards, the FF form must be received and approved by the ROD before the friend and/or family member enrolled at the regional offices.
12. Only original copies of the FF forms that are approved by the ROD will be accepted under this programme.
13. All FF forms must carry the name, NRIC number and signature of their F&F member to be valid.
14. All results pertaining to the FF rewards as announced by WOU are deemed final and no correspondence will be entertained.
15. Terms and Conditions of this FF programme are subject to change without prior notice.
